Afghan Refugee Ministry

As we continue our mission to share God’s love among the unreached peoples of Afghanistan, we would like to highlight our ministry with Afghan refugees. This week, one of our colleagues will be visiting a refugee camp where many Afghan families have found temporary shelter. We partner with local ministries and come alongside to support them. The situation for these families remains difficult, and we cannot help but be moved by the needs among Afghans.

During this visit, he will be leading worship music for the camp’s weekly church meeting. Tens of Afghan refugees gather, many of whom do not yet know Jesus. We believe that worship music can be a powerful way to connect with those who are struggling. In addition to leading worship, our team member will be meeting with Afghan families, listening to their stories, praying for their needs, and sharing the love of Christ with them.

Amazing News

During one of these gatherings, an Afghan woman was baptized, publicly declaring her faith in Christ. As she took this significant step, our teammate led everyone in singing the worship song “I Have Decided to Follow Jesus” in Dari. The worship music added a deeply meaningful backdrop to this profound moment, as the community joined together to celebrate her commitment to following Jesus.

Prayer Request

We ask for your prayers during this important time. Pray for God’s protection and guidance as our colleague travels to and from the camp. Pray for the Holy Spirit to be present in every interaction, touching hearts and opening minds to the hope and comfort that only God can provide. Our prayer is that lives will be transformed by the power of God’s love, and that these precious souls will find peace in the midst of their challenges.
